Pay Range:
$89,300.00 - $146,900.00
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Procurement Specialist leads more complex procurement activities, providing expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. They mentor junior procurement staff and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support company-wide procurement strategies, contributing to operational efficiency and financial performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories or projects.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and coordinate supplier performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including finance, legal, operations, and engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Mentor and train junior procurement team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems.
  • Generate detailed procurement reports and provide insights to senior management.
  • Support demand planning and inventory optimization efforts.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement or sourcing roles.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Leadership experience or capability to lead cross-functional project teams.
