Job description

AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. At the moment we are in URGENT need of a Pharmacist to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in Corcoran, CA.
Position Details:
40 Hours per week
Location: Corcoran, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm (6 Months)
(Orientation/Training 2 weeks)
Rate: $65/hr ($2,600/week)
Must obtain an Pharmacist License in the State of California from the Board of Pharmacy.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge and/or the Institution’s Chief Executive
Officer/Chief Medical Executive designee, the Temporary/Relief PHARM
shall provide services as permitted within the scope of practice. The PHARM duties shall
include, but are not limited to the following requirements:
a. Review and verify prescription/medication order(s) from the Pharmacist-in-Charge, or other authorized prescribers for completeness, correctness, authenticity and legality;
b. Assess prescription/medication order(s) against patient's/youth's medical profile for improper drug
selection, under-dosage, dosage, over-dosage, drug interactions, dosage form and delivery system;
