Job description

Position OverviewThe Senior Analyst, Store Reporting and BI, will play a critical role in providing data-driven insights to support store operations and strategic decision-making. This role involves developing and maintaining reporting systems, analyzing store performance metrics, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes. The role collaborates closely with field leaders and is critical for improving operational execution of Burlington's off-price business model at the store level. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with BI tools, expert in Excel and the ability to communicate complex data effectively to various stakeholders in the retail space.A Day in the Life
  • Analyze large and/or initiative specific datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement for business challenges
  • Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan for key initiatives
  • Help build targeted insights to inform the design and development of Store Operations initiatives, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new strategies
  • Execute store analytics and reporting strategy across all areas of business, including data from supporting functions (Supply Chain, HR, AP, Finance, etc)
  • Collaborate with IT and other business partners to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting systems to monitor store performance and key metrics
  • Create and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to support store and field leaders on core RTB metrics and/or initiative specific results
  • Utilize BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, Power Automate) to create dashboards and visualizations that provide clear insights into KPIs
  • Continuously improve BI processes and tools to enhance data accessibility and usability
  • Create training and support stores and field on data interpretation and report usage
  • Work with and in stores to evolve existing and/or define new metrics for improving store operations
You'll Come With

Education:

  • B.A./M.S. in quantitative disciplines (Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, etc)

Experience:

  • >4 years of experience in highly analytical roles
  • Financial modeling
  • Practice with database creation and data integration for large data sets
  • Knowledge of data management and reporting platforms
