Job description

Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding an Azure Cloud Engineer to their team in the Orlando, FL Metro Region. 

Job Summary:

The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing and administering resources within the organization's Azure environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. Key duties include performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as configuring virtual networks, managing storage accounts, monitoring resource utilization, and implementing governance policies.

The role also involves planning and executing migrations of on-premises or cloud-based workloads into the Azure tenant, including assessing dependencies, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring minimal downtime during transitions.

Strong expertise in Azure services, automation tools, and best practices for cloud architecture is essential.

Essential Functions:

Azure Cloud Services

  • Create, configure, monitor and troubleshoot Azure IaaS and PaaS resources including Azure virtual machines, networking and storage storage  
  • Configure and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Migrate servers from on-premises and other cloud platforms to Microsoft Azure

Servers (On-Prem & Cloud)

  • Install, configure, and administer Windows Server
  • Troubleshoot Windows domain and operating system errors
  • Apply OS and application updates

Administrative & Documentation

    • Provide end user training and support
    • Work with vendors to support projects and integrations
    • Document procedures with step-by-step instructions and screenshots
    • Create user and troubleshooting documentation
    • Update task and project statuses
    • Perform system audits
    • Participate in daily team meetings to report progress
    • Cross-train with infrastructure team for skill redundancy
    • Provide second- and third-level support for applications

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Azure IaaS & PaaS resources
  • Windows Server administration
  • Networking: LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN troubleshooting
  • Automation & scripting (PowerShell, Terraform)
  • Root cause analysis and error resolution
  • Ability to identify repetitive tasks and automate processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies in Azure
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
