Job description

Job Description Our client is seeking a Microsoft365 Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize their Microsoft 365 cloud environment. Daily tasks include handling user accounts, managing licenses and permissions across Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint, and enforcing data security and compliance policies. This includes general user support and troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Tenant Management: Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services, custom domains, and user licensing. Identity & Access: Manage user provisioning, security groups, roles, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Collaboration Tools: Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.

Security & Compliance: Enforce data loss prevention (DLP), threat protection (Defender), and compliance audits (Purview). Automation & Support: Write PowerShell scripts for routine tasks and provide Tier 2/3 technical support for user issues. QUALIFICATIONS Two-year degree in Computer or Technology or the equivalent in work experience.

Four-year Computer or Technology degree preferred. 3 to 5+ years working in IT infrastructure and system administration. Strong experience with Microsoft 365/Entra configuration, user access and security Technical support to include device setup, ticket handling, new computer builds, documentation, and general remote troubleshooting Proficiency in PowerShell or Microsoft Graph for process automation.

COMPETENCIES Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively plan and organize and execute time management. Requires independent judgment and decision making within area of expertise and to provide recommendations on decisions of material nature.

Ability to meet goals, timelines, and outcomes on projects. Ability to solve problems using applied knowledge. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
