Regular work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, providing a structured routine that promotes consistency in client care.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific psychological and emotional needs.
• Provide individualized and group counseling sessions tailored to address the unique challenges related to aging, including issues of loss, depression, and anxiety.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that consider each client's medical history and therapeutic goals.
• Educate families and caregivers on effective strategies and interventions to foster emotional well-being and enhance the quality of life for their elderly loved ones.
• Facilitate grief and bereavement counseling sessions for clients and their family members to support them through end-of-life issues.
• Implement cognitive stimulation programs designed to promote mental acuity and improve cognitive functioning among elderly individuals.

Your primary focus will be on seniors who require specialized mental health support, including those experiencing grief, adjusting to significant life changes, or struggling with age-related challenges. Your role will involve creating a safe space for these individuals, allowing them to express their feelings and work towards improved mental health outcomes through tailored counseling techniques.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in geriatric mental health counseling and providing therapeutic support to older adults.

• Additional training or certifications in geriatric mental health, grief counseling, or other aging-related issues.
• Proven track record of delivering effective counseling services to elderly clients facing a variety of mental health challenges.
• Experience in using evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the elderly population.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to form meaningful connections with clients and their families.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal standards relevant to geriatric mental health care.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 65,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with the potential for a sign-on bonus.
