Position : Azure Cloud Engineer
Location : Malvern, PA Hybrid 3 Days onsite 2 Days remote
Duration : 6 to 12 Months
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Azure Cloud Platform engineer services to plan, analyze, design, build, test, and deploy enterprise technology infrastructures and services in the Microsoft Azure Public Cloud as per project specifications and needs
  • Collaborate across different areas within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Contribute to the development of the Multi Cloud Strategy by using knowledge of current state and a future vision of public and private cloud technologies as benefits the needs of Vanguard
  • Translates technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.
  • Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
  • Thoroughly understands software development methodology. Thoroughly understands development architecture standards. Trains and mentors staff with less experience. Resolves elevated issues.
  • Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Explains technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients. Performs systems analysis activities.
  • Thoroughly understands client business functions and technology needs. Has a broad understanding of Vanguard's technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business area and systems.
  • Thoroughly understands and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verifies that deliverables meet requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies, recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate.

Qualifications:
  • Hands-on design and development background in Azure, across a wide range of Azure services.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure App Insights, ARM or terraform, Azure Key Vault, Powershell and Azure CLI.
  • Working knowledge of Public Cloud Providers platforms and services as well as complex multi-technology solutions with hybrid architectures (cloud and on-prem).
  • Programming languages such as python, go, JavaScript, .Net etc.
  • Working knowledge of devops tools such as jira, servicenow
  • Knowledge of github, bamboo, bitbucket.
