JOB SUMMARY
The candidate should have a robust background in data modeling and ETL processes. The candidate should have essential hands-on experience with Advanced SQL and python to deliver scalable analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric. Proficiency in building Data Lake and supporting enterprise initiatives with regulatory requirements is highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge and experience in SAP and holding Azure certifications, are considered a plus.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Developmental Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering: Participate in business discussions and project kickoffs to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Business Interaction: Provide updates on projects and identify gaps, facilitating effective communication between technical and business teams.

  • Solution Design: Offer input and propose solution designs that meet business needs and technical requirements.

  • Ad hoc Support Requests: Provide immediate support for ad hoc requests, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness

  • Data Modelling: Demonstrate proven data modeling experience

  • Tool Knowledge: Responsible for building and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, notebooks, Pipelines and Power Bi)

  • Coding Skills: Write efficient and scalable SQL queries to extract and manipulate data. Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation.

  • Functional Knowledge: Possess experience with finance, sales, and inventory data.

Process Improvement
  • Technical Direction and Guidance: Dive into the technical details of implementations and provide feedback to the team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

  • Code Review and Best Practices: Review changes and ensure adherence to best practices, fostering a culture of excellence in coding standards.

  • Project Prioritization: Contribute to project prioritizations based on interactions with business stakeholders, ensuring that the most critical projects are addressed first.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant Work Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data engineering.

  • Strong experience in data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Microsoft Fabric Design and Development experience.

  • Proven experience in technical leadership and guidance.

  • Ability to design effective solutions and prioritize projects.

  • Flexibility to handle ad hoc support requests.

  • Advanced Hands-on SQL and Python knowledge and experience working with relational databases for data querying and retrieval.

  • Knowledge and experience of building data lake and enterprise analytics solutions with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database and other Azure services.

Additional
  • Data Modeling tools (e.g. Erwin, Visio) knowledge

  • Experienced with building Audit Ready governed data solution, enabling control monitoring and Reporting

  • Knowledge and experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Google.

  • Microsoft Fabric certifications (e.g., DP-600 - Fabric Analytics Engineer) are highly desirable.

  • Experience with Power BI / Tableau for reporting and data visualization.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$101,000.00 - $152,000.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
