Job description

Position Title: Cleared Senior Azure Infrastructure Cloud Engineer
Location: Reston, VA (Onsite – Full-Time)
Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
Position Status: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $248,601.00 Position Description:
We are seeking multiple Senior Azure Infrastructure Cloud Engineers to support large-scale Microsoft Azure cloud modernization and enterprise infrastructure initiatives within a secure federal environment. This role is ideal for experienced cloud engineers who thrive in high-security, mission-critical environments and bring deep expertise in Azure architecture, governance, automation, and Zero Trust security frameworks.
As a senior-level contributor, you will design, deploy, secure, and sustain Azure environments aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), ensuring compliance with federal security standards and enterprise governance policies. Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and sustain Azure infrastructure aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) best practices.
• Architect and manage Azure Management Groups, Subscriptions, and Policies to enforce governance and compliance controls.
• Implement and manage Azure Key Vault for secrets, keys, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Configure and support Azure Storage solutions with data protection and resilience strategies.
• Design and manage Azure networking solutions, including Virtual WAN (vWAN), Virtual Networks (vNet), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and secure connectivity patterns.
• Deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools and FSLogix profile management.
• Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, diagnostics, and alerting for proactive monitoring and incident response.
• Support workload migrations and hybrid cloud integration initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Zero Trust architecture principles, TIC 3.0, and federal security baselines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot, optimize, and secure Azure operations across enterprise environments. Required Skills/Education:
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• 5+ years of Tier II or 3+ years of Tier III Azure infrastructure support experience.
• Proven experience designing and sustaining Azure core infrastructure aligned to CAF.
• Strong expertise in Azure Management Groups, Subscriptions, Policy, Key Vault, Storage, and Networking (vWAN, vNet, NSGs).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), including host pools and FSLogix.
• Deep knowledge of Azure logging, monitoring, and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for Azure automation and infrastructure management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise cloud environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Azure certifications (Administrator, Architect, or Security).
• Experience integrating Microsoft Power Platform within Azure environments.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI (AOAI) services and Copilot capabilities.
• Experience with hybrid cloud strategies and workload/application migrations.
• Understanding of Microsoft licensing models and subscription governance.
