Job description

We are hiring for a DSD Relief Associate in Phoenix, AZ. This role will be a Relief Route Sales Representative (Relief Driver) for our DSD team. The relief driver will be responsible for running open routes and the efficient delivery of product to a predetermined customer base and to provide exemplary customer service and promote customer base growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Position involves 5am start time and extensive driving.
  • Deliver products and to upsell our popular brands/products on open routes.
  • Complete service calls, resolve customer problems or complaints. Respond to customer calls in a timely manner.
  • Use handheld system to key transactions and manage customer data. Ordering, scanning, and logging backstock using handheld device.
  • Manage inventory and balance daily route activities.
  • Protect company assets, including collection of equipment and customer payments.
  • Check-in with store decision maker, check-in delivery, obtain signatures, collect proof of delivery.
  • Using equipment (e. g. carts, pallets, etc.) to unload products and move throughout the store.
  • Ensuring backstock reaches the sales floor and organizing/maintaining back-room inventory in proper location.
  • Rotating products, removing defective and out-of-date products and process returns and credits with receiver.
  • Tidying up shelves and displays, knocking down boxes and disposing of any waste.
  • Assembling and disassembling of promotional materials such as signs, banners, and cardboard displays.
  • Merchandising store displays to ensure proper inventory, pricing, and date code rotation

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience preferred. Sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior DSD/ truck to store sales experience.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Clean DMV record and insurability.
  • Ability to work independently in various setting.
  • Basic computer/data entry skills and math abilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This position requires the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals and materials, etc.
  • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over slippery surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as samples and record boxes. This position requires frequent pulling, pushing, carrying, and lifting to 50lbs.
