Enterprise Applications Specialist I - axiUm
Lyon College is seeking an Enterprise Applications Specialist I - axiUm to support the administration, configuration, and reporting of axiUm for the Lyon College School of Dental Medicine. This role focuses on axiUm administration, system configuration, user support, testing, documentation, and operational troubleshooting. The position also supports Crystal Reports development, SQL-based data extraction, and CODA accreditation support.


Key Responsibilities
● Serve as a primary support resource for axiUm administration, configuration, and day-to-day system functionality.
● Maintain and update axiUm configuration areas, including templates, code sets, clinical workflows, user settings, forms, and operational setup as needed.
● Support clinical, academic, and administrative users by troubleshooting axiUm issues, researching system behavior, and helping resolve workflow or access concerns.
● Collaborate with clinic leadership, faculty, staff, and Enterprise Applications team members to understand operational needs and translate them into axiUm configuration, workflow, or reporting solutions.
● Participate in testing and validation of axiUm workflows, system updates, configuration changes, and new functionality.
● Coordinate with operational teams to support appointments, procedures, billing, insurance, provider/student assignments, clinic productivity, and related dental school workflows.
● Ensure axiUm configuration, access, data handling, and reporting practices align with HIPAA, FERPA, role-based access controls, and institutional security standards.
● Develop and maintain knowledge of axiUm data structures and clinical workflows, including appointments, procedures, billing, and clinic productivity.
● Ensure reports and datasets comply with HIPAA/FERPA, role-based access controls, and institutional security standards.
● Coordinate with stakeholders across Institutional Research, compliance, finance/insurance, and clinic leadership to align reporting needs.


Required Qualifications
● Associate's or bachelor's degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
● 2+ years of experience supporting or administering enterprise software systems, preferably in a dental, clinical, academic, or healthcare environment.
● Experience with report development and SQL query writing using tools such as Crystal Reports, SQL Server, or Oracle.
● Strong attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and documentation discipline.
● Ability to gather requirements from clinical, academic, and administrative stakeholders and translate them into system, workflow, or reporting needs.
● Familiarity with structured report lifecycle management (ticketing, change logs, version control).
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualification
● Experience with axiUm dental software.
● Experience supporting CODA accreditation reporting in a dental school or academic health setting.
● Familiarity with dental clinic workflows, CDT/ICD coding concepts, and dental insurance/billing processes.
● Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
● Understanding of HIPAA/FERPA requirements in a clinical and higher education environment.
