Why This Role Exists

This role exists to support high-precision machining demand at Ichor Systemsโ€™ Livermore facility, including complex multi-axis programs and advanced manufacturing work.

In this position, youโ€™ll play a key role in producing tight-tolerance components for high-tech industries, with a strong focus on quality, process ownership, and machining excellence.

The Work Youโ€™ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis mills and mill-turn equipment
  • Work on complex parts requiring multi-axis machining and tight tolerances
  • Read and interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles
  • Edit and optimize G-code and machining strategies at the machine
  • Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding setups
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues independently
  • Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve processes
  • (Senior level) Mentor junior machinists and lead setups on complex jobs

  • Experience with multi-axis machining (3+ axis required, 5-axis preferred)
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code
  • Strong troubleshooting and setup skills

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience with Haas, Makino, Hermle, or Nakamura machines
