The Opportunity:
The TCS team is looking for an AWS System Administrator to work on Enterprise Cross-Domain Systems and associated projects. These systems provide reliable data transfers between domains for general users and programs. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our AWS infrastructure. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our cloud-based systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
• Manage AWS resources: Provision, configure, and manage AWS resources such as EC2 instances, EBS volumes, VPCs, security groups, and IAM roles.
• Administer Linux/RHEL systems: Manage and maintain RHEL-based EC2 instances and on-premises Linux servers, including system updates, patch management, and performance tuning.
• Monitor system performance: Monitor system performance metrics, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain system security: Implement and enforce security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Automate tasks: Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and AWS tools (e.g., AWS CLI, CloudFormation).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AWS infrastructure, Linux/RHEL operating systems, and applications.
• Implement and maintain backups: Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for AWS resources.
• Stay current with AWS technologies: Keep abreast of the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.
• Collaborate with teams: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (must obtain a polygraph within 6 months of start date)
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01-M.IAT Level II Certification
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8/9 administration
• Proficiency in Linux system administration including user management, file systems, networking, and service
• Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and command-line tools

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
