Senior Security Engineer (Email Security, DLP & AWS)  
Location: Rockville, MD or Tysons Corner, VA
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Interview Process: Onsite interview required in Rockville, MD
Summary
Seeking a Senior Security Engineer with expertise in Email Security, AWS Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Data Classification. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls that protect enterprise systems and sensitive data. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience securing Google Workspace environments, managing AWS security services, and supporting enterprise data protection initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security controls and solutions
  • Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies
  • Administer and secure Google Workspace (Gmail) and Secure Email Gateway platforms
  • Protect against phishing, malware, and data exfiltration threats
  • Manage AWS security controls including IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and monitoring solutions
  • Support data protection operations, alerting, investigations, and incident response
  • Implement and manage DLP, data classification, and labeling solutions
  • Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and control documentation
  • Lead security projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of Information Security, Cybersecurity Engineering, or Cyber Operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience implementing enterprise security controls across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
