Job description

Job Title: Project Manager - AWS Migration Projects
Location: Remote

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead AWS migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cloud migration projects, particularly with AWS, and be proficient in using Jira for project management.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage AWS migration projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project plans using Jira software, including milestones, tasks, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, preparing status reports and escalating issues as needed.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Provide training and technical support to Jira end users.
  • Create and manage complex reports and dashboards for the management team.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on AWS migration projects.
  • Proficiency in using Jira for project management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMI-PMP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or similar are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with other project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in managing large-scale cloud migration projects.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Request Management.
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification preferred.

The Salary for this position will be 130,000 - 150000 Yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
