Job description

Job Overview

Position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing business and technical expertise to help customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide expertise and scale to build innovative solutions for complex challenges.

Role Summary

As a Senior Partner Consultant within AWS, you will assist AWS partners to reshape existing products and services around cloud, build or transform their business to deliver high-value solutions to customers. You will engage with Partner Executives, facilitate workshops, drive business transformation, gather data to build ROI models, and guide executives through necessary changes.

Your primary responsibility is to lead Business Development activities with top‑tier consulting partners and managed services providers supporting AWS Sales/Partner teams. You will be an expert resource on financial/business modeling and economically related partner engagements, design facilitated workshops, and help partners create long‑term sustainable AWS services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as key member of the Partner Business Development team in growing AWS business through partners.
  • Work with AWS Partner Sales & BD teams to drive proactive ROI/economic conversations.
  • Contribute to development of standard ROI framework and new spreadsheet models for the AWS Partner team.
  • Create market insights into partner business practices and common issues in building an AWS practice.
  • Communicate market realities regarding partners’ evolving needs to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present business reviews to senior management.
  • Design facilitated workshops: data collection, analysis, consensus building, organizational buy‑in.
  • Productize select use cases (e.g., Hosting Migrations) and build accurate economic and enablement models.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services (Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, Networking).
  • 5+ years of Go‑To‑Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
