Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced AWS Migration Lead with strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud technologies, enterprise workload migrations, and AWS Transform. The ideal candidate will have successfully led AWS migration and modernization projects and will be capable of owning the technical strategy, planning, execution, and delivery of cloud migration initiatives.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring deep AWS knowledge, strong migration experience, and the ability to guide technical teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end AWS cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop migration strategies, roadmaps, architectures, and execution plans.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout AWS migration projects.
  • Work extensively with AWS Transform for migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Assess existing applications, infrastructure, dependencies, and migration readiness.
  • Define appropriate migration approaches based on workload and business requirements.
  • Lead discovery, assessment, planning, migration, validation, and optimization activities.
  • Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective AWS cloud architectures.
  • Guide engineering teams during workload migration and application modernization.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues encountered during AWS migration activities.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, DevOps, and business teams.
  • Establish AWS migration standards, best practices, governance, and technical guidelines.
  • Provide technical recommendations and communicate migration risks to stakeholders.
  • Mentor AWS engineers and provide technical direction throughout project delivery.
  • Represent the AWS migration team in technical and client-facing discussions.

Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proven experience leading large-scale AWS migration and modernization projects.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with AWS Transform.
  • Experience with AWS migration assessment, discovery, planning, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of AWS compute, networking, storage, databases, and security.
  • Experience with services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Understanding of migration strategies including rehost, replatform, refactor, and retire.
  • Experience designing AWS landing zones and enterprise cloud architectures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex cloud environments.
  • Excellent technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent AWS certification.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale data center to AWS migrations.
  • Experience with application modernization and legacy workload transformation.
