Job description

Job Description: As a DevOps Engineer, you will report directly to the Head of Engineering. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and management of our Kubernetes clusters within AWS. You will manage and build CI/CD tools/pipelines. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure high availability and performance of our Kubernetes environments, while managing costs effectively.
You will also be responsible for the health of our PostgreSQL databases to ensure optimum application performance by monitoring alerts for long running queries, high CPU usage, low disk space, etc to proactively scale before it impacts the application.
This is a fully remote position
As a scaleup business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:

  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and security
  • Monitor compute systems (VMs, Kubernetes clusters) to optimize for performance & cost efficiency
  • Manage and build CI/CD tools/pipelines
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth code integration into production
  • Manage network-related workloads including DNS and security groups
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
