What does an AWS DevOps Engineer do?

An AWS DevOps Engineer is responsible for automating, deploying, and managing applications and infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. They integrate development and operations processes to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of software delivery. Typical tasks include configuring CI/CD pipelines, monitoring cloud resources, optimizing cloud costs, and ensuring security best practices are followed throughout the deployment lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AWS DevOps Engineer?

To thrive as an AWS DevOps Engineer, you need strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (especially AWS services), automation using scripting languages, and experience with CI/CD pipelines, often backed by a related degree or AWS certifications.
