6-12+ Months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our growing team to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing data ingestion, transformation, and analytics solutions using modern AWS-native services. This is a hands-on role requiring strong Python programming skills and a deep understanding of cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and others.
  • Build and maintain ETL workflows to support data ingestion and transformation.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for analytics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and cloud architects to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud data environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data processing and infrastructure issues.
  • Implement best practices in version control, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ Years of overall IT Experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a Cloud/Data Engineer with a focus on AWS.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with data lake and data warehouse architectures.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native development and serverless computing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
  • Knowledge of Redshift, EMR, Step Functions, or AWS Lake Formation.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
