Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java AWS Engineer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Java-based microservices, AWS services, modern web application architectures, DevOps automation, and production-scale engineering practices. This role will play a key part in building secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise applications that support large user volumes and critical business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS services.
  • Build and maintain highly available, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Aurora, DynamoDB, and MSK.
  • Develop modern, responsive web applications and workflow-driven user experiences capable of supporting 10,000+ concurrent users.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), containerization, and Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Drive application reliability through monitoring, observability, security controls, performance optimization, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business teams to deliver modernization initiatives and establish engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 7- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Aurora, DynamoDB, MSK, CloudWatch, IAM, networking, and security.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Proven ability to build and support large-scale enterprise applications with high availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of application security, observability, resiliency, monitoring, and performance tuning in production environments.
  • Experience with React and TypeScript and knowledge of event-driven architecture is preferred.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 100000.00 - 130000.00
