Position Overview

RM Advisory Services LLC (RMAS) is seeking a Functional / Management Analyst to support a Department of War (DoW) financial management and data analytics program. The successful candidate will bring hands-on knowledge of DoW financial reporting and financial statement compilation processes and will work with financial management, accounting, and technical stakeholders to improve reporting, data quality, and financial management capabilities within the Advana environment.

This position is well suited for a financial management professional who understands how DoW financial data moves from underlying accounting and feeder systems through the financial reporting and financial statement compilation process and can translate functional accounting requirements into data, reporting, and system requirements.

Experience with OneStream or other enterprise financial reporting/consolidation platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support DoW financial reporting and financial statement compilation activities, including analysis of financial data used to prepare DoW component and consolidated financial statements.
  • Apply knowledge of DoW accounting, financial management, and reporting processes to identify reporting requirements, data issues, and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Assist with mapping financial reporting requirements to source systems, data elements, business rules, and Advana data products.
  • Work with functional and technical teams to translate accounting and financial reporting requirements into actionable system, data, dashboard, and reporting requirements.
  • Support reconciliation, validation, and research of financial data across multiple DoW systems and data sources.
  • Identify data quality, completeness, reconciliation, and financial reporting issues and assist stakeholders in developing solutions.
  • Develop and document business processes, functional requirements, data requirements, workflows, and reporting requirements.
  • Support modernization and automation of financial reporting and financial statement compilation processes.
  • Collaborate with DoW financial management organizations, system owners, data teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Support development of briefings, analyses, recommendations, and other deliverables for government leadership.
