Position Summary:

Cutter Aviation is currently searching for an energetic and knowledgeable member of our Maintenance team. The Sheet Metal/Structural Technician must be an exceptional relationship builder with the drive to provide world-class customer service with respect to activities in the maintenance department while providing routine and unscheduled sheet metal and structural repairs on aircraft.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non routine structural repairs in compliance with F.A.A. and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and perform needed repairs to airframe as needed in compliance with FAA and aircraft manufacturer standards.
  • Structural repair to airframes including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, fiberglass repair, corrosion preventative treatment, priming and painting.
  • Install optional or added equipment to aircraft at customer’s request.
  • Make required log book entry of repair and comply with all company and F.A.A. paperwork requirements in a neat and legible manner.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and assignment to emergency call out duty.
  • Read & interprets aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method
  • Assist in cleaning and policing of work areas in the hangar shop.
  • Facility maintenance and repairs as directed

Education Requirement:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED

Certificate(s) Required:

  • None

Experience Requirement:

  • At least 3-5 years experience working with sheet metal and structural repair on Aircraft, preferred
  • Knowledge of maintenance manuals and FAR’s
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and some composites
  • Ability to perform error free work with ability to meet/exceed deadlines and time accountability requirements.
  • Excellent Organizational, Customer Service, Training, and Communication Skills
  • Outstanding team building ability
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms
  • Ability to handle conflict
  • Able to develop a friendly rapport
  • A sincere desire to assist customers
