Aviation Screeners often encounter increased passenger volumes and heightened time pressures during peak travel periods, such as holidays and summer vacation months. These conditions can lead to longer lines and more frequent interactions with stressed or hurried travelers, requiring screeners to maintain high attention to detail while providing courteous customer service. Additionally, screeners must remain vigilant to security protocols despite the fast pace, which can be mentally and physically demanding. Strong teamwork and clear communication with supervisors and colleagues are essential to manage the workflow efficiently and uphold safety standards.

They screen passengers, luggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual inspections. Aviation Screeners work for organizations like the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and play a critical role in preventing threats to aviation security. Their duties also include monitoring security equipment, enforcing regulations, and providing assistance to travelers.
