The ideal candidate will help ensure timely delivery of components and services by maintaining accurate plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting compliance with safety and quality requirements.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for aerospace/aviation programs (as applicable: manufacturing, MRO, avionics, assembly, supply chain planning).
  • Coordinate planning activities across departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor progress vs. plan and update schedules based on lead times, capacity constraints, engineering changes, and supplier performance.
  • Create and maintain planning documentation, including master schedules, work order plans, and tracking dashboards.
  • Analyze constraints and risks (materials availability, bottlenecks, tooling readiness, labor capacity) and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support demand/supply planning by forecasting workload and aligning resources to program requirements.
  • Ensure planning aligns with requirements and compliance standards, including aerospace/aviation quality and documentation practices (e.g., controlled processes, traceability).
  • Communicate schedule impacts to stakeholders and support expediting activities when deadlines are at risk.
  • Participate in planning meetings (e.g., daily/weekly reviews, program reviews, S&OP/planning sessions) and provide actionable updates.
  • Continuously improve planning processes to increase accuracy, reduce cycle time, and improve reliability of schedules.

You Must Have
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain planning, preferably within aerospace, aviation, defense, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Dynamics, or similar).
  • Familiarity with planning metrics (on-time delivery, schedule adherence, backlog, lead time performance).
  • Strong understanding of business planning principles such as capacity planning, lead time management, and dependency tracking.
  • Ability to interpret technical/production documents and convert requirements into actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, forecasting/analytics) and ability to work with reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and planning/scheduling experience.

Nice to Haves
  • Aerospace/aviation background (e.g., manufacturing, MRO, aircraft components, avionics, engine/accessories).
  • Experience working within AS9100 / ISO 9001 or similarly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with PLM and engineering change workflows (e.g., ECR/ECO impact to schedules).
  • Experience using advanced scheduling tools or planning software beyond standard ERP.

Skills & Compentencies
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and documentation discipline.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems using data.
  • Comfortable handling changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple programs concurrently.
