Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Supervisor to oversee and lead the daily operations of both our Stockroom and Receiving/Shipping Departments. In this key role, the Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and goods throughout our facility, maintaining accuracy and operational excellence across all logistics functions. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager/Chief Inspector, the Logistics Supervisor will play a critical role in upholding our standards of quality and operational integrity while providing strong leadership and direction to their team.

Key duties

  • Identifying, segregating, preserving, and controlling all articles during receiving, shipping, and stores.
  • Identifying, segregating, preserving, and controlling all time sensitive and hazardous material during receiving, shipping, and stores.
  • Routing both CIMA's customer and internal articles to the appropriate department.
  • Providing suitable facilities for the storage and preservation of articles while in CIMA's possession.
  • Providing suitable facilities and equipment for the receiving and shipping of articles to both customers and vendors.
  • The inspection of all incoming articles and materials to ensure that the required proper and complete documentation is received prior to induction into CIMA in accordance with CIMA's RSQM, CIMA's regulatory requirements, and standard industry standards.
  • Ensuring that all articles are packaged in accordance with the Air Transport Association Specification 300, air carrier specifications, or specific technical data requirements.
  • The controlling and scheduling of all deliveries for CIMA AVIATION, LLC. and CIMA's customers.

Typical requirements

Knowledge of receiving, shipping, and stockroom operations and best practices 

Familiarity with hazardous and time-sensitive material handling procedures 

Understanding of Air Transport Association (ATA) Specification 300 packaging requirements 

Knowledge of air carrier specifications and technical data requirements 

Ability to inspect incoming articles and verify proper documentation prior to induction

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform consistent work on a computer with prolonged view of a monitor/screen.

Specific Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Must be able to see, talk, hear, touch, feel and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to frequently walk and stand for short periods of time.

Must be able to lift and move up to 25lbs

Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, prolonged sitting, and regular walking, bending, standing, and reaching.

Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Compensation

Hourly position commensurate with experience level and skill level and/or certifications. $
