Job Summary
Are you passionate about Urban Planning and Aviation? Landrum and Brown is seeking a Fall 2026 Intern to join our team in Cincinnati. As an Aviation Planning Intern, you'll gain the opportunity to work on large-scale airport master planning and development projects. This internship is your chance to be part of a collaborative community where you can expand your knowledge and sharpen your skills through hands-on meaningful work.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You Will Do
  • Conduct planning studies and analyze airport facilities and operations
  • Assist in developing airport facility conceptual plans (AutoCAD)
  • Develop GIS databases and mapping for airspace analyses
  • Participate in data collection and surveys
  • Coordinate and write task analysis results and reports
  • Assist in preparing presentations
  • Engage client staff, attend client meetings/presentations, and establish positive relationships
  • Maintain good communication with project team and colleagues
  • Support peers in various task assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong commitment to integrity, consistently demonstrating ethical, fair, and responsible behavior

Your Education and Experience
  • Requires current 2nd year standing as an undergraduate, or a Graduate student standing, pursuing a degree in Urban Planning, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, GIS, SketchUp, a plus
