In the role of Transportation EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:
• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation project
• Take responsibility for plan development of Mobility and Safety projects, including but not limited to Transportation Management Plans, Traffic Signals, and Signing and Delineation
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, quantities and cost estimates, specifications, and calculation
• Provide assistance with other transportation projects and groups as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
Preferred qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Transportation Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Able to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK, or other transportation design software packages,
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Open Roads Designer.
• MS Office experience
• Preference is given to local candidate
