Job description

Landscaper is responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces, such as lawns, flower beds, gardens, patios, fountains, irrigation systems as well as monitoring and maintaining the plant health of interior plants and planters. They will also be responsible to perform snow removal tasks of sidewalks, parking lots, roads and other areas as assigned by the Assistant Director of Landscape services for all facilities owned and operated by Genesis Global Group and its affiliated companies.
Essential Functions:
  • Planting and maintaining: Planting, transplanting, and caring for flowers, plants, trees, and shrubs
  • Lawn care: Mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering lawns
  • Pruning and trimming: Trimming and pruning hedges, trees, and shrubs
  • Installation: Installing fountains, paver patios, fencing, drainage systems, planters, and turf
  • Maintenance: Maintaining watering systems, cleaning walkways, and fixing fountains
  • Safety: Setting up safe work sites, following safe work practices, and conforming to required codes
  • Record keeping: Maintaining records of time, material, and equipment use
  • Snow removal using trucks, plows, skid steer, snow blower, quad, shovel, salt/ calcium chloride, etc.
  • Seasonal Displays: assists with transportation of, installation and removal of seasonal holiday decorations
  • Other: assists with maintenance staff and with projects by keeping jobsites clean and free of debris

Education and Experience:
  • High School/GED
  • 2 years previous experience performing landscape maintenance
  • 2 years previous experience with snow removal equipment operator
  • A valid and insurable Driver's License
  • Must have experience driving larger landscape trucks while towing trailers

Requirements and Skills:
  • This is a full-time year-round position.
  • We are looking for experienced landscapers that are dependable, responsible, trustworthy and hard working.
  • Must have a good attitude and above average work ethic and drive.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Candidates must be able to safely operate commercial lawn and snow removal equipment.
  • Hardscape and Construction experience a plus.
