Job description

Join Our Team at Avera Endocrinology & DiabetesWe’re seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join our team and provide exceptional care to adult patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. 

What You’ll Do
  • Choose your practice! Traditional outpatient/inpatient opportunity or a shift based, inpatient only role.
  • Work within an established endocrinology practice with an experienced group of 7 physicians, 3 APP's and a strong referral network.
  • Collaborate with an endocrinology hospitalist and APP's who assist with inpatient coverage and consults. 
  • Take limited call! Average call is just 4-5 weeks annually.
  • Care for a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests.
  • Work in a newly constructed, modern outpatient clinic with integrated support services such as a certified diabetic education team.
  • Teaching opportunities for medical students, residents and APP's available through area medical school and universities. 
Schedule
  • Full-Time, Monday – Friday days with occasional call (for traditional role)
  • OR 2-week on/2 week off shift-based position (inpatient only role)
Qualifications
  • MD or DO, licensed (or eligible) in South Dakota (and other states as required)
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology
  • DEA certification (state and federal)
