Job description

Position Summary...At Walmart, every great customer experience starts with having the right product in the right place at the right time. As the Director, Product Management – Inventory Availability, you'll lead the strategy and execution of products that ensure inventory is accurate, visible, and available across our store ecosystem.
You'll own a critical portfolio responsible for helping associates, Spark drivers, and customers confidently locate and fulfill inventory throughout the store—from the sales floor and top stock to the backroom and inbound trucks. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role where you'll influence strategy across Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Data Science, and UX to deliver scalable solutions that improve the customer experience at enterprise scale. What you'll do...
  • Define and execute the product strategy for Walmart's Perfect Inventory portfolio.
  • Build products that improve inventory visibility and accuracy across stores, including on-hand quantities, top stock, backroom inventory, and inbound shipments.
  • Develop intelligent capabilities that combine multiple inventory signals to identify current and predicted out-of-stock conditions, enabling proactive actions that reduce lost sales and unnecessary labor.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to deliver intuitive, data-driven experiences for associates and Spark drivers.
  • Use customer insights, operational metrics, and analytics to prioritize investments, validate outcomes, and continuously improve product performance.
  • Influence senior stakeholders by building alignment through data, customer insights, and a clear product vision.
  • Lead product discovery, roadmap planning, and execution while balancing customer needs, operational efficiency, and business priorities.
What You'll Bring...
  • Experience leading complex product initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Strong product management fundamentals, including product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and customer discovery.
  • Experience building data-driven products and using quantitative insights to inform product decisions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and build consensus across diverse teams.
