Job description

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable IT and engineering solutions to the Federal Government. BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.

Position Overview

The Senior AV/VTC Specialist will provide expert-level audiovisual, video teleconferencing, multimedia production, and collaboration technology support for the EEOC. This position supports the EEOC’s Washington, DC headquarters and its 53 field offices nationwide.

The specialist will configure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize audiovisual and multimedia systems used for meetings, conferences, presentations, live productions, recorded content, and virtual collaboration. The successful candidate must have extensive experience supporting a large, geographically dispersed organization and possess advanced technical knowledge of AV/VTC platforms, production equipment, digital signal processing, control systems, and multimedia technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level operational and technical support for AV/VTC systems across the EEOC’s headquarters and 53 nationwide field offices.
  • Configure, operate, maintain, test, and troubleshoot audiovisual, video teleconferencing, and multimedia production equipment.
  • Support video teleconferencing and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Poly RealPresence, and Cisco technologies.
  • Provide technical support for virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings, conferences, executive briefings, presentations, and special events.
  • Perform pre-event system checks and validate audio, video, network connectivity, displays, cameras, microphones, and conferencing equipment.
  • Monitor live meetings and events, quickly identifying and resolving audio, video, connectivity, or equipment issues.
  • Operate video switching, routing, projection, display, camera, lighting, recording, streaming, and audio systems.
  • Perform professional camera operations, including camera setup, framing, positioning, focusing, and live production support.
  • Provide video editing and post-production services for recorded meetings, training materials, presentations, and other multimedia content.
  • Create and edit graphics, animations, motion graphics, titles, visual effects, and other digital media elements.
  • Configure and operate audio mixing equipment, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and related sound-reinforcement technologies.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot digital signal processing systems used for audio and video environments.
  • Support AV control systems used to manage conferencing, lighting, audio, displays, projection, and room automation.
  • Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot projection systems and LED display technologies.
  • Diagnose complex AV/VTC equipment, software, connectivity, integration, and performance issues.
  • Coordinate technical support with EEOC personnel, field offices, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide remote guidance and troubleshooting assistance to personnel located at EEOC field offices.
  • Maintain accurate equipment configurations, operating procedures, system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and inventory records.
  • Recommend improvements, upgrades, replacements, and technical solutions to improve AV/VTC reliability and performance.
  • Ensure AV/VTC services and multimedia products are delivered professionally and consistently with EEOC standards and requirements.
Required Education and Experience
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience providing senior-level AV/VTC and multimedia support in an environment comparable in size and complexity to the EEOC.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a geographically dispersed organization, including an environment with approximately 53 nationwide field offices.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, Communications, Multimedia Production, Broadcast Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant specialized training and extensive professional experience may also be considered.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of audiovisual and multimedia production equipment.
  • Advanced experience configuring, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV/VTC systems.
  • Strong operational experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Poly RealPresence, and Cisco collaboration or conferencing technologies.
  • Advanced video editing and post-production capabilities.
  • Experience with video switching and live production workflows.
  • Professional camera setup and operation experience.
  • Experience in graphic design, animation, and motion-graphics development.
  • Advanced knowledge of audio mixing and sound-reinforcement systems.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting digital signal processing systems.
  • Knowledge of AV control systems, projection systems, LED displays, and related room technologies.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV/VTC hardware, software, signal, connectivity, and integration problems.
  • Ability to support multiple events, technical requests, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer-service, organization, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical users.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with EEOC personnel, field offices, vendors, and IT support teams.
Preferred Certifications

Relevant industry certifications are preferred but not required, including:

  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D)
