Job Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain Revit models and families for low-voltage, network, and AV systems
  • Develop single-line diagrams, plus riser and one-line diagrams, for network, low-voltage, and AV systems
  • Model AV systems — speaker layouts and coverage, TV/display placement and mounting, and AV device and rack layouts
  • Produce construction documents from the model — floor plans, device layouts, rack elevations, and cable pathway/conduit routing
  • Run BIM coordination and clash detection (Navisworks / VDC) with the general contractor and other trades
  • Support AutoCAD 2D drafting and detailing where projects call for it, incorporating engineer markups and redlines
  • Maintain BIM/CAD standards, templates, families, and detail libraries so documents stay consistent across projects
  • Generate bills of material and quantities from models to support estimating and procurement
  • Track time worked, time on task, and ticket and task completion in Zoho tools (primarily Zoho Desk and Zoho Projects)
  • Revit modeling of low-voltage, network, and AV systems — building models, families, and sheets independently
  • Developing single-line diagrams (plus riser and one-line diagrams) for network, low-voltage, and AV systems
  • AV systems modeling — speaker layouts and coverage, TV/display placement and mounting, and AV device and rack layouts
  • Producing construction documents — floor plans, device layouts, rack elevations, and cable pathway/conduit routing
  • BIM coordination and clash detection (Navisworks / VDC) with the general contractor and other trades
  • AutoCAD 2D drafting and detailing, and incorporation of engineer markups and redlines
  • Point-cloud / reality-capture workflows (e.g., ReCap) and field verification for as-builts
  • Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and visualization tools (Enscape / Lumion)
  • Generating bills of material and quantities from models to support estimating

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Proven, hands-on Revit proficiency — able to model and produce sheets independently from day one.
  • 3+ years of hands-on BIM/CAD design experience, the majority of it in Revit
  • Demonstrated ability to develop single-line diagrams (and riser/one-line diagrams) for network, low-voltage, or AV systems
  • AV systems design experience — modeling speakers and coverage, TVs/displays, and AV device layouts (strongly desired)
  • AutoCAD proficiency for 2D production and detailing
  • Ability to work from engineer/designer markups, redlines, specifications, and sketches
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Garland, TX every business day (no remote or hybrid)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage multiple drawing packages against deadlines
  • Comfortable using a PC and learning software tools (we run on Zoho)

Desired Qualifications:
  • AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification
  • Experience with AV/acoustic modeling and coverage tools (e.g., EASE) and video wall/display layout
  • Navisworks / VDC coordination and clash-detection experience
