This position is primarily to provide weekend and evening coverage. Some weekday shifts may be available based on events and courses.
Pay Range:
$28.55 - $42.85
IRCAD North America's AV team supports world-class surgical education through advanced audiovisual technologies, including livestream broadcasting, video production, telepresence, video conferencing, and integrated AV environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with professional AV systems, signal routing, live event support, troubleshooting, and the deployment of audiovisual solutions in high-profile production settings. This role works closely with physicians, industry partners, and vendors to deliver seamless educational experiences across operating rooms, lecture halls, surgical labs, and remote audiences worldwide. Candidates with backgrounds in broadcast production, AV integration, live events, media systems, or audiovisual engineering are strongly encouraged to apply.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and assist with video conference activities utilizing the appropriate Unified Communications & Collaboration tools and services. Assist with setup and operation of video conferencing systems, as well as provide onsite or remote support for video conferences and events.
  • Provide operational and technical support for all video conferences and applications including AV control systems and digital media platforms.
  • Leads root-cause analysis of technical issues to achieve timely resolution of trouble tickets.
  • Follows up with users to ensure problem resolution and develops supporting documentation of all activities.
  • Perform various system upgrades and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Works directly with vendors to support the video conference service line.
  • Maintains a thorough inventory of AV equipment and coordinates the repair and replacement of non-working, damaged and/or obsolete equipment.
  • Updates and recommends processes and procedure changes to better assist team members utilizing the video conference service.
  • Facilitate and conduct end-user training programs to enhance adoption and proficiency within the service line.
  • Provides support that falls out of scope when requested or needed.
  • Collaborates as part of a team in the planning and discussions with our business partners and customers to define scope, gather requirements and outcomes as part of a project or initiative.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related (or equivalent knowledge).

Experience Required:
  • 1 year IT experience or equivalent training.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Basic written and verbal communications
  • Basic research, analysis, design skills
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure supported.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Requires callback support on regular basis
  • Evening and weekend work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
