Job Summary:
As an Auxiliary Assistant at Accolade Healthcare, you will be a key member of our nursing department by providing additional assistance to the residents and staff; obtain C.N.A. Certification through the Accolade Healthcare C.N.A. Program within 6 months of hire; and continue working for Accolade Healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
As an Auxiliary Assistant, your responsibilities include:
o Provide assistance to the C.N.A.'s - with no physical resident care
o Answer call lights
o Assist with 15-minute visual checks-utilizing AA checklist tool and ensuring assigned CNA receives completed checklist for documentation
o Assist residents in wheelchairs to and from dining rooms
o Help in dining rooms (pass drinks/take orders, serve meals)
o Take meal orders and serve meals to residents who choose to eat in their room
o Make beds
o Pass ice water and snacks to residents without modified diets
o Be sure resident rooms are neat and tidy (clean nightstands and bedside tables, empty trash, etc.)
o Ensure that personal items are logged as necessary
o Ensure that all personal items are labeled, bagged, and in nightstand
o Ensure rooms and shower rooms are fully stocked (gloves, personal hygiene items, etc.)
o Follow facility policies to ensure resident safety at all times - following In-services regarding all resident safety policies, complete orientation and Relias Training
o Wheelchair cleaning
o AA will perform NO direct patient care, i.e., lifting, transferring, incontinent care or feeding
o Answer phone using proper phone etiquette
o Resident visitation/conversation time/perform resident sitter duty if needed
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
o Must be able to meet any physical requirements of the functions of this position (see Accolade Healthcare C.N.A. Program Essential Requirements attached)
o Must complete Accolade CNA Program and test within 6 months of hire and acceptance into the CNA Program
