To strengthen our team at the Redmond location, we are looking for a Senior System Test Engineer. As a key member of MicroVision's Systems Engineering team, you will collaborate with various technical teams in the company to design and take into production market defining LiDAR products.
Summary:
The Senior System Test Engineeris responsible forplanning, developing, and executing system-level verification and validation activities for LiDAR products. The engineer willbe responsible fortranslating system requirements into test strategies,designingand executing test plans, analyzing performance data, and driving issue resolution across hardware, firmware, optics, algorithms, and software teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong systems engineering fundamentals with hands-on test execution experience and a passion for solving complex technical problems. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams toidentifyissues, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure successful product development from concept through production release.
Your responsibilities:
  • Develop system-level verification plans, test cases, and test procedures from product and system requirements.
  • Define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and verification methods for functional, performance, environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Execute verification andvalidationactivities throughout EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, andverificationresults.
  • Develop automated test scripts, tools, and data analysis frameworks.
  • Improve test efficiency, repeatability, and coverage.
  • Support development and maintenance of system test stations and validation infrastructure.
  • Analyze large data sets generated during system testing.
  • Generate technical reports and present findings to engineering teams.
  • Track performance metrics and verification status against program milestones.

Our requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in systemtest, integration, validation, or product verification.Experiencevalidatingcomplex electro-optical, embedded, or automotive systems.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Systems engineering principles
    • Verification and validation methodologies
    • Root-cause analysis
    • Requirements-based testing
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, and environmental chambers.
  • Proficiencyin Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages for automation and data analysis.

MicroVision offers a flexible work schedule that could include a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote work, subject to team and business needs. Individual work schedules will be at the discretion of management and dependent on role and business needs. You must live and reside within commuting distance from MicroVision's office in Orlando, FL.
