Overview

Kia of Bowie is part of Group 1 Automotive, one of the largest leaders in automotive retail sales and service. We are growing and looking for Automotive Flat Rate Technicians to join our team!

Our Service Technicians should be passionate about customer service, take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a winning team that cares about employees.


Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
  • Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as an Automotive Flat Rate Technician required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening

Compensation: The pay for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr. based on experience.
