Job description

An Automotive Service Writer plays a critical role in automotive service centers by acting as the liaison between customers and the service team. This position involves managing service scheduling, preparing estimates, ordering parts, and handling invoice management. The Automotive Service Writer ensures a smooth, efficient service experience, often working individually while collaborating with other team members and reporting to the Operations Manager. Minimal travel is required, and this role offers opportunities for advancement to Service Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers to understand service needs and provide updates
  • Schedule vehicle service appointments efficiently
  • Prepare accurate service estimates and communicate them clearly
  • Order necessary parts to facilitate timely repairs
  • Manage and process service invoices and related documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive service writing
