Quality EngineerBluewater Thermal Solutions

Bluewater Thermal Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Engineer to support quality initiatives, customer requirements, and continuous improvement efforts within our brazing and thermal processing operations.

We are looking for a hands-on professional with a strong quality background who enjoys working closely with production teams, solving problems, and driving process improvements. Experience with automotive quality systems and IATF 16949 is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working directly on the production floor to support quality standards and operational excellence.

What You'll Do
  • Support and maintain quality management systems and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes within brazing and thermal processing operations.
  • Lead and support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Investigate customer complaints, internal defects, and nonconforming products.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve quality and process performance.
  • Conduct internal audits and support customer and thirdparty audits.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including: oWork Instructions
  • Procedures oControl Plans
  • PFMEAs oPPAP Documentation
  • Coordinate and maintain gauge calibration programs.
  • Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience with heat treating, brazing, or thermal processing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools, including: oRoot Cause Analysis
  • Control Plans oPFMEA
  • PPAP oSPC
  • Experience with IATF 16949 requirements preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Education
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and applicable experience will be considered.
  • Preferred CertificationsThe following certifications are beneficial but not required:
  • IATF Internal Auditor Certification
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
