Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance Technician (Preship Technician). This role is based on the final phase of the facility. The final phase is responsible for taking the Work Off List from our quality manager reports and doing the final work and completion of each custom build. This will include alignment, drive train issues, and cosmetics finishes. The role requires someone with a broad range of automotive skills and a keen eye for detail. The aim in the final phase is to verify all completed work is up to quality assurance standards (including repairs for both lines- trucks and cars), move the vehicles forward to shipping ensuring they are safe and functional.

Work schedule- Monday through Friday, from 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (30-minute lunch break).

General Responsibilities

  • Receiving vehicle from production and conducting a full Phase 6 inspection (consisting of 594 lines).
  • Full Work Off of all quality control issues that are raised in the report.
  • Running all operational and cosmetic issues to ensure the vehicle is safe, functional, and built to our quality standards.
  • Quality check of all completed work and test miles driven during phase.
  • Tuning and performance enhancements.
  • Keeping an accurate log/record of all work performed.
  • Maintaining and cleaning garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
  • Adhering to the company's work safety policies.
  • Quality control throughout the vehicle build process.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs.
  • Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to complete and use reports.
  • Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance.
  • Excellent team communication skills and ability to adapt to work environment.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.
  • Race / Custom experience would be an advantage.
  • Completion of ASE is an advantage.
