Job Title: Program Manager – Automotive Manufacturing

📍 Location: Stoney Creek, ON (Canada) OR Sterling Heights, MI (USA)
💼 Employment Type: Full-Time
💰 Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits + Pension

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Tier 1 automotive supplier specializing in the design, manufacture, and assembly of exterior trim and integrated systems for leading automotive OEMs. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead new product launches from customer award through successful production implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage automotive programs from customer award through production launch and sign-off.
  • Lead cross-functional APQP teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all customer requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Customers.
  • Manage tooling suppliers, including tool design reviews, builds, trials, validation, and production sign-off.
  • Drive launch readiness activities and support customer build events and production launches.
  • Oversee prototype builds, production sample submissions, and PPAP/APQP deliverables.
  • Support engineering changes, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-reduction activities after launch.
  • Participate in customer design reviews and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and suppliers.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve customer concerns during launch activities.
  • Travel regularly to customer, supplier, and tooling locations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or Diploma (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of Program Management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience within automotive manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with Injection Molding, Painting, and Assembly Processes.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, GD&T, DVP&R, and Injection Mold Tooling.
  • Experience managing automotive programs from award through production launch.
  • Experience with automotive exterior plastic components such as:
    • Bumpers
    • Fascias
    • Rockers
    • Trim Systems
    • Exterior Assemblies
  • Experience supporting OEM programs with GM, Ford, Stellantis, and/or Toyota.
  • Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tier 1 automotive supplier experience.
  • Proven success leading multiple product launches.
  • Experience working directly with OEM customers and tooling suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and launch management best practices.
