Job description

A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team at the manufacturing facility near Anderson, SC. This position will play a key role in supporting plant leadership through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business decision support.
The Controller will act as a strategic business partner to operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with corporate and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with plant leadership to provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business decisions.
  • Lead plant-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance, costs, productivity, and profitability.
  • Prepare monthly variance analyses, including production output, material usage, scrap, labor, and operational costs.
  • Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
  • Develop contribution margin, profitability, and financial simulation analyses.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve results.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and US GAAP requirements.
  • Support the continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and controlling processes.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations for management as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, plant controlling, or cost accounting.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience required.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, production costs, and manufacturing KPIs.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and internal control processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and leadership teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
