This is how you will grow:

The Senior Project Manager – Paint and Process will support our current business and contribute to the growth plans of the company.  The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the President/CEO with other internal matrix relationships and with corporate headquarters in Germany.  In this role, the ideal candidate will be charged with creating their own division strategy (with P&L responsibility), that will complement and comply with the company’s strategic plans.    The candidate selected for this position will be an expert in automotive paint systems, passionate about problem solving, strongly collaborative and possess well-developed oral and written communication skills. Once hired, the candidate will work alongside the President/CEO to learn the intricacies of the business, establish strong customer relationships and credibility with teammates to support a smooth transition and on-boarding process. 

  • Strong understanding and experience in automotive paint systems
  • Focus on anti-corrosion and industrial paint application processes, equipment,  and facilities knowledge, including curing, abatement, automation, and controls. 
  • Proven success as a high level, strategic leader
  • 4-year degree highly preferred
  • Experience in the business development process (quotes, estimating, proposals,  etc.) 
  • Ability to work and influence in a matrix and global organization is  essential 
  • Must  have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate  rapidly and effectively within the organization and to represent the company in a professional manner 
  • Ability to create a vision and champion that vision within the organization 
  • Business experience in resource allocation, budgeting, project management, and leadership.  
  • Ability to shift resources and priorities to meet critical deadlines.  
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze quantitatively and qualitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program deliverables and testing needs. 
  • Desire to learn and implement new software and tools to deliver results to EDAG  and clients with speed and efficiency
  • Understanding of business figures and management of financial     
     
Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with automotive paint systems with at least 5 years in a management capacity.
  • Results driven experience combined with the skills to effectively manage P&L, including long term trends and the ability to make recommendations concerning management decisions, resource allocation, and business operations to enhance the division/company financial performance.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative to achieve results. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective interaction with a wide range of stakeholders.
