Job description

Talis Group’s client is a successful multi-location Buy Here Pay Here dealership group. They are looking to hire a Dealership Operations Lead, responsible for driving operational excellence across dealership-facing functions, including sales, store operations, inventory management, collections, and Business Development Center (BDC)/lead management. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can build accountability, develop high-performing managers, improve execution, and deliver measurable business results.
Working closely with executive leadership, the Dealership Operations Lead will ensure each dealership operates efficiently, maintains consistent processes, achieves profitability goals, and delivers an exceptional customer experience from lead generation through ongoing account management.
Salary: $80 - $95K base + potential of $10+K per quarterly bonus!

Highlighted Duties:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, develop and communicate action plans, and ensure successful execution through consistent follow-up and accountability.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for Regional Managers, Inventory Manager, BDC Manager, and Accounts Manager.
  • Serve as the operational bridge between executive leadership and dealership management.
  • Lead and develop department managers through regular meetings, one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Foster collaboration between sales, inventory, collections, BDC, and store leadership
  • Analyze dealership performance metrics, identify operational gaps, and implement solutions to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Oversee collections operations
  • Ensure compliance with collections procedures, payment processing, recovery efforts, and portfolio management standards.
  • Direct inventory strategy
  • Lead BDC operations
  • Improve communication and coordination between BDC, sales, inventory, and store operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all dealership locations.
  • Conduct operational audits
  • Establish consistent operational expectations while empowering managers to lead their teams effectively.
  • Promote consistent, high-quality customer experience across all departments
  • Local travel required
