Job description

Automotive Combo Body Technician:  Body Shop Technician and Painter 

Nourse Chillicothe Automall is currently seeking a qualified Combo Body Shop Technician/ Painter for our Collision Center. Nourse Collision Center is located in the heart of Chillicothe, and is one of the most comprehensive body shops within a 50 mile radius! To maintain this level of work, this position requires an experienced candidate of 2+ years as an auto body technician, ASE and I-CAR Certification. Some of the responsibilities of this employee would include:

  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical, and hydraulic window and seating equipment, and trim to gain access fenders and other body panels
  • Use a dolly to remove dents
  • Filling depressions with filler using a putty knife
  • Removing and replacing damaged fenders, hoods, doors, and other panels
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts in position
  • Straighten damaged or bent frames with a pneumatic frame straightening machine
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces
  • Refinish repaired surfaces with a paint gun and sander
  • Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake systems
  • Repair or replace defective mechanical parts

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have an insurable driving record
  • Must have 2+ years of experience as a collision repair technician
  • ASE Certification Required, I-CAR certification preferred
  • Must have a professional appearance and work ethic
  • Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
  • Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as work outside
  • Ability to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles
