Position Summary
Ghent Motors is seeking a high-performing, results-oriented Fixed Operations Director to oversee and lead all fixed operations departments, including Service, Parts, and Collision Center (Body Shop) operations. This executive-level leadership position is responsible for driving profitability, operational efficiency, employee development, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth throughout the dealership's fixed operations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Directly oversee Service, Parts, and Collision Center management teams.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and retain high-performing employees.
  • Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and establish measurable goals for department leaders.
  • Lead all fixed operations personnel toward achieving dealership objectives.
Financial Performance & Profitability
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability across Service, Parts, and Collision operations.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and expense controls.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve performance.
  • Maximize customer-pay, warranty, maintenance, parts, and collision repair sales.
  • Increase service absorption and overall fixed operations contribution to dealership profitability.
Service Department Oversight
  • Ensure efficient shop workflow and technician productivity.
  • Improve labor sales, effective labor rates, technician efficiency, and customer retention.
  • Monitor repair order quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership processes.
Parts Department Oversight
  • Maintain proper inventory controls and inventory turn rates.
  • Improve parts gross profit and wholesale opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate ordering, stocking, and inventory management practices.
  • Support service and collision center operations with efficient parts availability.
Collision Center (Body Shop) Oversight
  • Manage all body shop operations, including estimating, repair production, cycle times, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners and DRP programs.
  • Monitor repair quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Improve production efficiency, technician utilization, and average repair order performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and manufacturer repair procedures.
Customer Experience
  • Drive outstanding CSI and customer retention throughout all departments.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Implement processes that improve the overall ownership experience.
  • Promote a customer-first culture across the dealership.
Strategic Planning
  • Work closely with ownership and executive leadership to establish annual goals and growth strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service, parts, and collision business.
  • Develop initiatives to increase market share and long-term customer retention.
  • Ensure all fixed operations departments support the dealership's overall strategic vision.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive fixed operations leadership experience.
  • Previous experience as a Fixed Operations Director, Service Director, Fixed Ops Manager, or similar leadership position.
  • Experience overseeing Service, Parts, and/or Collision Center operations.
  • Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and fixed operations metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead managers and large teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with dealership management systems and OEM operational standards.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
