Description
Summary: The Bay Family of Companies' Corporate Office is seeking a Finance Department Manager to support timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and compliance across assigned entities and business segments. This role partners with leaders to interpret results, manage KPI performance, improve processes, and strengthen internal controls, while assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close and audit activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Staff and Sr. Accountants supporting the Finance function, including coaching, workload planning, and performance feedback
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close activities and prepare/review financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting packages
  • Review and approve key journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations; ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities, including audit requests, and workpaper preparation
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and executive reporting (sales, margin, labor, overhead)
  • Build and maintain ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support decision-making
  • Prepare revenue and expense analyses and partner with business leaders to identify risks, evaluate opportunities, and support informed decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, controls, and reporting across business segments, including standardization and automation
  • Occasional overnight travel (up to 5%) may be required

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in accounting/finance (public and/or private), required
  • Three years of experience leading or managing employees, required
  • Manufacturing accounting/finance experience, strongly preferred
  • Experience with multi-entity reporting and/or foreign currency reporting, strongly preferred
  • Experience in FP&A-style analysis and business partnering (e.g., profitability analysis, pricing/margin analysis, KPI development, and executive-ready reporting)
  • Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., Power Query/Power Pivot, pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas); experience with data extraction/analysis tools is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Management Reporter (or similar ERP/reporting tools) is a plus
