Job Title: Automotive Technician
Job Summary
TG Automotive is  looking for a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our successful service center team here at TG Automotive . In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, and repairing a wide variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, is comfortable navigating modern diagnostic software, and brings a "never give up" attitude to complex problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize your expertise and modern diagnostic tools to accurately evaluate vehicle malfunction codes and troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical issues.
  • Routine Maintenance: Efficiently perform standard maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake pad replacements, and fluid flushes.
  • Thorough Inspections: Conduct comprehensive, multi-point vehicle inspections across all major systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical).
  • Clear Communication: Convey necessary vehicle repair information to service advisors and customers in a clear, concise, and transparent manner—helping them understand what repairs are urgent versus what can be planned for later.
  • Workflow Optimization: Assist with establishing and maintaining service center procedures for tracking repair status, documenting technical notes, and keeping organized shop protocols.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Deliver high-quality workmanship to ensure customer safety, repeat business, and an excellent shop reputation.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. An Associate degree or completion of an accredited automotive service technician training program is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) certification is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with automotive computer software, diagnostic scanners, and specialized shop equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong customer service skills, and excellent communication habits are required.
