KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of effective personnel management techniques.
  • Knowledge of budgetary constraints, and labor management.
  • Knowledge of station management practices, vehicle inspection policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of effective customer service practices and proven problem resolution skills.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • One to three years' experience in a management/technical field with two years' supervisory experience.
  • One to three years' experience in managing multiple locations.
  • Experience in automotive emission testing preferable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, staff development, quality audit skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

POSITION PURPOSE:
Oversee and coordinate district activities related to multi-facility operations in the Illinois Inspection Program and ensure district compliance for all areas of responsibility. Exercises independent judgment in carrying out assigned tasks and program responsibilities. Supervisor is available to provide guidance and direction for unusual or difficult problems and situations encountered.
PAY RATE: $60,000 - $70,000 plus a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits and 401k with a company match!
This position will work from a station located closest to home
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for coordinating the District Operations activity and facilities towards achieving program goals and objectives in accordance with corporate policies and procedures and state contractual obligations.
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, assistance and development to station management staff.
  • Responsible for compliance with and implementation of approved policies and objectives.
  • Formulate and recommend operating policies and objectives, or changes to existing policies and objectives.
  • Employ highly competent operational personnel within the district and ensure they are properly trained.
  • Responsible for the District operating and maintaining a safe workplace for employees to succeed.
  • Analyzes station labor, volume, and quality reports to ensure all stations in the district are operating within program standards and are being managed in the most efficient, effective manner.
  • Provide coaching, counseling and corrective action as needed in the direction of multiple teams.
  • Responds to all inquiries, comments and/or complaints submitted pertaining to the district. Provides follow up reports to the same regarding outcome and resolution.
  • Deals promptly and effectively with problems or issues that are raised within the district regarding personnel.
  • Promote a working environment that generates high employee morale and motivation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
