What is an automotive battery?

Automotive batteries are rechargeable batteries that supply electrical energy to vehicles. Their primary function is to start the engine and power electrical systems such as lights, radios, and air conditioning when the engine is off. Most vehicles use lead-acid batteries, but electric and hybrid vehicles often use lithium-ion batteries. Proper maintenance can extend the lifespan of an automotive battery, ensuring reliable vehicle operation.
